Light Spectrum- LEDs have the ability to produce wavelength specific light to optimize plant growth. Different ratios of red and blue light affect the plant in different ways during phases of growth.
Temperature- The naturally cool LED’s use an unsubstantial amount of heat compared to other broadband sources.(1) This diminishes the need to have a separate venting system for temperature control. LED grow-lamps also keep the space at a level that is comfortable for the plants and eliminates the need for an air-conditioning unit during summer.
